So Madara and Tobi's goal is to put everyone in an infinite tsukuyomi

Part of the plan is to have all the bijuus as madara tells kabuto it appears they haven't captured the nine-tails yet and tobi explains it to the hokages

and also part of the plan was to have nagato use the rinne tensei on madara and revive him

if the first plan worked out sasuke would have capture killer bee, nagato would have captured naruto and nagato would have revived madara.
But why revive madara because obviously tobi doesn't have tsukuyomi. so if tobi catches killer bee and naruto he would use rinne tensei to revive madara and have madara be the ten tails jinchuuriki and magnify madara's eyes to do infinite tsukuyomi. which he has because you have to have that technique to use susano'o.
if kabuto didn't give away tobi's identity everyone would have thought he was madara and no one would have known tobi. existed which explains why he wants to be no one

we just need tobi's story to explain what made him so miserable to help madara so tobi can be in
an infinite tsukuyomi.

if the first plan worked out and sasuke caught killer bee and nagato caught naruto madara would have been revived and there wouldn't have been a war

nah tobi still acts as if he's guna be the Jinchuuriki , o.0 maybe madara first but now him ..
on further thought maybe though , that might be why he wanted to undo edo tensei just to revive madara by rinne tensei

A very convincing theory, + rep. To play devil's advocate, it could be that Tobi and Madara have some personal connection or that Madara's revival would serve Tobi in some other unforeseen way.

i don't think so because of tobi's paths but whatever

this is why madara was supposed to be revived he wasn't going to be revived then sleep in the infinite tsukuyomi he's the one who wants to use it and tobi is the miserable person who wants to be under the infinite tsukuyomi
