Is... Is there really any doubt about this anymore? He's in the perfect position for redemption.
If Kishi were to switch back to Madara as the main villain now, it'd be comically sloppy. "Oh, here's this character whose power is leagues beyond Madara's. You'll have to fight her now. Jk, you're going to fight the weaker villain again." There's really no point.
Aaaand if Madara *were* to somehow take over Kaguya... Why? He was already more powerful than Naruto and Sasuke in the first place. That would mean Kishi had to think in his head that Madara would need to be absolutely humiliated, only to receive a power up that he doesn't need.
Madara's role as a villain is over. The only other option is redemption. And he will be redeemed. What is his goal? Peace. He will be going the way of Obito and Nagato, who had the same desires. Naruto will change him.
