Tobirama did what he can to make sure the village was safe from an opposing threat against the Uchiha. Madara and his selfish actions lead his own people down hill and onward.

Tobirama's actions we're based on the example Madara had towards the Uchiha and what he did to ensure the safety of not only the whole village but the chance of an outbreak that make collapse decades of peace. Even though it was short lived. If you think this world is just like the world you live in all fair and peachy keen? You are sorly mistaken. The second and third generation was filled with vile miscontempt and jealousy.

Tobirama as the leader of the village sought to minimize the chances of a revolt and used his mystical Hokage powers to grant the Uchiha a task force. Unknowingly the Uchiha had grown the the same understanding as Madara.

Madara and his actions and the fear of losing everything he ever loved cause the whole cycle to be shifted into his own disposition thus led to his own demise and vengeance.

Hashirama did state to Tobirama not the persecute the Uchiha but seeing as the actions of the clans grow intent his actions we're more than liable. Don't try to shift the blame to the one who has to make the tough decisions. Blame someone who is started the whole retribution againest the world and is now on top of the Ten-Tails reeking havoc. Madara. :|

Difference in opinion i suppose i think madara is justified

Explain than.

Honestly. The man sought to bring war. He chose to fight Hashirama. He chose to betray his own clansmen due to his own fear.

Where is he now?

Madara is justified, you may think it is paranoia, but there is no way Tobirama is going to let him become the second Hokage, judging from his distrust and hate towards the Uchiha.

Hell, even the good Uchihas like Kagami, Shisui and Itachi weren't made Hokages, which proved his point even further.

Did he "choose"? His own clan was against him. His brothers died at the hands of Senju. And nobody but Hashirama aknowledged him.

Madara had a choice to stay in the village and change his rep but he deflected. The hokage had his back and even madara read from the tablet the if the two opposites united there would be peace (or something like that) yet he still left.

Still left the village and had that vengence.

Either way i'm not talking about who is more justified or not. It can go both ways. Either way but the example and jealousy he took upon himself was the main part that brought a great deal of blood shed and choas.

Tobirama is the one who ultimately alienated the Uchiha from the Village, but it was clearly not his intention to do so, but in saying that Madara also let himself get consumed by his hatred because of the opinions of one man. Both are babies in my opinion.

OK. When i saw thread i thought they both where to blame but your point shifted me more to Madara Bn the instigater. Seeing as Tobirama was n life and a purely logical man.
