Hello, I wish to address some things, I apologize if this thread sounds redundant.
I have seen many people today discuss to whether Sasuke or Madara was the reincarnation of Indra.
I believe that they both are, and that Madara is for certain Indra's reincarnation!
Relation
In this chapter, Hagoromo explained that Ashura and Indra's chakra transmigrated.
Now from what Obito told us, Madara was born with the strongest Chakra ever seen.
The reason why Madara was born with the greatest Chakra of the Uchiha is because of Indra's direct influence!
Their perfect Susanoo's also look almost exactly alike:

True Purpose
Now here is where it becomes a bit more far-fetched.
Indra possibly saved Madara at valley of the end in his own soul form(different yet similar to Tobirama's.)
Tobirama mentioned doing something similar to help Sasuke.
And once he does take over Madara, he would then rule the world under power via Mugen Tsukuyomi fulfilling his true goal.
Naruto being Ashura's reincarnation is to stop that from happening and bring peace to the shinobi world.
God Split
Madara mentioned to Hashirama that a god split power into half, and how he believed that the Senju and Uchiha were that power.
But now I would like to bring up how the true split power is both of the halves of the Juubi.
Half was sealed into Hagoromo and then his brother, and right now that other Juubi half is not stated to have been separated into bijuu by Hagoromo.
Hagoromo only split up the Juubi inside of him, leaving question to what happened to the other half. (Bottom left)
