Madara was not the first Uchiha to implant Senju DNA.

Itachi claims that Izanami was created to punish and teach the Uchiha's who at certain point in history were abusing of the powers of Izanagi. On the other hand Tobi said that only those who possess both Uchiha and Senju's powers can use Izanagi. Either this is a plot whole or it means that Uchiha Madara did nothing original by sicking to gain access to Senju's DNA.

Maybe, just maybe this might shed some light onto who Tobi might be. Uchiha older than Madara? Your thoughts.

You guys dont understand what tobi meant. He meant that the genes of both uchiha and senju grants a complete izanagi and not the ability to use it because you are an uchiha you can already, there was never a plot hole.

The uchiha's of the past never had senju dna and could use either uchiha kinjutsu. Even after itachi has used one is there still a debate going on or do you believe itachi has the dna of tsunade

Tobi said that only those with Senju and Uchiha powers can use Izanagi not to be able to prefer a complete one. And he didn't mentioned anything about Izanami.

You can go all out saying that wasn't what he meant. But that was exactly what was written in the manga's. Everything else is pure baseless speculation.

As for Itachi using Izanami it would make sense that a technique created to counter another would be less restrictive than the one it tries to stop.

What the manga states several Uchiha's gained access to Senju DNA in the past. So many that the clan felt the need to create Izanami in order to counter it and keep it's usage under control.

I read it but I still think that the case that Izanagi required Senju DNA can still be made. If not by a direct necessity in order to preform the technique then in order to sustain it. The fact still remains that both times we saw someone pulling out Izanagi they needed Sunju DNA in order to do so.

Apart from that all I could get from that thread was that squigles and ~WastelandSociety~ are both incredible idiots for arguing that way with someone through the internet.

i have to agree with you. theirs no point in saying what tobi said was a mistranslation or that wasnt what he ment. tobi clearly saids you need senju and uciha until kishi proves other wise im sticking with tobi.

Read this scan These are Itachis words it seems to me that more then 1 uchiha was useing izanagi and izanami was created to punish the users. Why would the uchiha develop a costly genjutsu to punish izanagi users if only the ones who have senju DNA can use it?

I think tobi means Senju power like clan power, not 1st cells. there is a difference.

I don't think you need senju because danzo used izinagi a good plenty of times but I might be wrong I think he didn't have senju
