There is no way Madara was only playing with guy. I think he was dead ass serious trying to fight guy. He told guy straight up that he after guy hit him he had never had such a rush sense his fight with Hashirama. That's a clear indication that Madara got serious because every time he act like a blood thirsty monkey he laughs and talks about how excited he is to fight. Also if Madara was just playing with guy as most of you like to think then he would look no wear near as bad as he does. His forehead protecter is busted up and he's drooling blood. And for those saying that Madara didn't use any of his best techniques what proof do you have? Because last time I checked Kishinev skipped the fight. The idea that he's playing is just wishful thinking for most of you he got wrecked and the sage kind of hinted that his mom will come back.

How do you know what Madara used furring their fight when Kishi skipped the fight? Being that Madara said the last attack damn near killed him the attacks prior to that delivered serious life threatening damage to Madara. Madara probably had to use his best techniques just to survive and still got beaten.

Oh yeah and btw he didn't notice naruto a new power right off the bat and even if he did he still didn't acknowledge him as atreat yet because anyone who he acknowledges who is stronger than Hashirama he does smile and laughs like a mad man. It's just wishful thinking for most of you. He will be replaced as final villain very soon.

Madara didn't have the time to use any specific tech because, Gais speed blitz's wouldn't allow him enough time to. He did try to hit him with his Gudou-dama, but he couldn't.

Where's your manga proof to show Madara was serious? You're just speculating based on his fight with Hashirama.

Madara didn't lift a finger against Gai. He took every one of his hits. He just let Gai exhaust himself.

The fanboys won't listen. Rinnegan and EMS attacks are too fodder to hurt Gai, Madara has to use the ultimate power onmyoton. For example Preta Path can't absorb anything, Deva Path can be pushed back with Gai pure force lke with 6 tailed Naruto, Ashura Path too slow and Gai still destroys anything it throws out, Ghost Path would not be a good move since Gai is too fast for it and if he tries close range he gets hit, Naraka Path works on other paths. EMS techniques are also useless, Susano would get fodderized, he has onmyoton there is no need to downgrade, Gai is too fast for genjutsu. Mokuton is too slow and would get fodderized. Madara is not toying with Gai, he has expressed fear if Gai hits him 4-5 times with the evening elephant and Gai almost killed Madara. If Gai aimed more to the upper region like his head Madara would be dead right now.

A few things,

1. Madara ain't stupid. His ribcage was decimated and even with juubi chakra there's no way Madara would let anyone interrupt with his plans so far. It could be that Madara underestimated Gai's abilities and hence Gai in eight gates mode with the speed boost kicked Madara's behind all the way to the front.

2. No limits. That is the benefit of opening chakra gates. Theoretically, Gai could reach Madara's level and surpass it easily since all his limiters were dissolved for a few moments. No way Madara could take any opponent like that jokingly. The most probable thing is that he was saving up chakra for some really advanced version of Secret Healing Wound Destruction, 'coz it will be a disappointment to see him fight Naru-Sasu powered up pair as a squished bug.

3. Gai warped space and time with his speed in eight gates mode. What makes any sane kishifan say that even if Madara used bijuu-dama it would have any chance whatsoever of hitting Gai? That too in eight gates opened mode? Madara was clearly outdone in this fight in taijutsu and speed, but since he would end up alive after all the torture thanks to juubi, whatever.
