The real benefit Madara got from Hashirama's cells was using Mokuton and to ultimately gain the rinnegan. His physical capabilities did not change much at all.

That didn't play a significant role in any of those feats. His physical capabilities skyrocketed the moment he was revived from edo tensei

there was also the matter of being able to insta-kill guys that had a bijuu shroud with regular taijutsu; and all w/o being muscle bound. Characters using the gates would arguably have to unlock at least 1 of them to even replicate that kind of speed and force, and the same goes for characters using Raiton shrouds. They would probably have to go into the V1 form.
