But both times we saw that, even with Nagato extracting Naruto's soul, some sort of pulling was shown, which isn't present in this case. I don't see how you could compare what Momoshiki did with Naruto and Kinshiki either, since with the former he was directly absorbing the chakra while with the latter he was turned into a fruit.
I know that but there's that says that he can't do that to anyone. Maybe that's why Kaguya feared him? Not just because he can absorb chakra but that he can turn your whole being into a chakra fruit and consume you. Don't know why he didn't do it to Naruto, Kishi probably didn't want to kill Naruto and Co
Yes, there's nothing that says Momoshiki can't do it to anyone, but there's also nothing that even suggests he can. He found absorbing Naruto's chakra tedious, and regardless of Kishimoto's intentions, only a bona fide retard wouldn't use such a power like being able to remotely and instantly convert someone into edible chakra at such a moment and even in many others. There wouldn't even be a need to have captured Naruto; he'd just have to direct his hand at him.
Regardless, certainly there's no reason to base him winning on a power that he isn't suggested to have nor even plausible for a character.
He did actually have the power, he used it against Kinshiki. There's nothing that says he special, and nothing that shows that he can't do it to others either. So it's A) He's an arrogant idiot or B) Kishi left it out like he did other things in series.
Edit: Momshiki wanted to create a Chakra Fruit (Putting the Bijuu's chakra back together) and eat it to gain Immortality.
Absorbing people will turn them into a chakra pill and only give him a temporary boost in power and immortality. So you can say he didn't absorb Naruto into a pill cause it would have been a waste cause he wanted the Fruit.

Maybe, he did tell naruto he is next after momo absorbed Kinshiki. Then again, Momo could be bluffing.
The boast from the pills should be permanent, but i kinda agree. The chakra fruit probably would've given him a crapton of pills.

What makes you think that it' s impossible that Kinshiki is the one that decided to transform into a chakra fruit?
What makes you think that it' s impossible that Momoshiki can only do that to his ancestor?
What makes you think that any other hypothesis than A/ and B/ are impossible?
You are speculating that every thing else is impossible, that' s not smart.
You act like you know everything, but the fact is you don' t.
Cause the Manga and Movie clearly showed it was Momoshiki that turned him into one, just like we saw it was him who turned Hachibi's chakra (or was it actually the Hachibi himself?) Into a chakra pill. Cause there's nothing saying that, and he did say afterwards to Naruto that he's next. Cause it makes the most sense, if you think otherwise then that's your opinion and this is mine. That's why I said it's my opinion and it makes the most sense.

It's not that I don' t agree with your explanations, I just don't like them, they make the manga look like horsecrap, that' s why I thought to other hypothesis than the 2 you mentionned:
-Momo being dumb to the point he forgets to use his most powerfull technique although he had many chances to save his life doing it.
-Kishimoto being dumb enough to forget Momo' s ability.
Those aren' t satisfying hypothesis at all, they mean that the manga is bullshit.
If you are satisfied reading bullshit, it' s your problem.
He didn't forget to use it, he didn't want to. He wanted a chakra fruit to gain power and immortality and not a chakra pill that's temporary like with Kinshiki. That's why after he absorbed Kinshiki he said (to Naruto) you're next. Next for what? Being absorbed. Kishimoto has forgotten other abilities and powers for other characters when it suits him, don't see any difference for this one.
If you get upset over other people's opinions then that's your problem.
