How odd.

Last I checked Madara had TWO Rinnegan. Even if its never been stated we all assumed that the eye would become useless whenever that technique was used, IE progression to the Rinnegan would become impossible in one of his eyes.

It was shown that EMS also didn't stop the eye from going blind from use of Izanagi. So that leaves a plot hole in my opinion.

What do you guys think?

Also I find the whole "timed" Izanagi to be rather poor in concept. Its not the same, Sasuke had implanted chakra within him, and he was ALIVE. I expected Black zetsu to have revived him and merged with Madara for a time in order to avoid detection, this would make more sense as we have seen Black zetsu stave off death in Obito.

Also not to mention Tobirama would NEVER be fooled by his own technique as a substitute. Ergo Tobirama would have known Madara was still alive. Plot hole ahoy! It would have had to be a zetsu clone to fool Tobirama.

I'm guessing if he used Izanagi, someone could have come a long and used Izanami on him; putting him in an endless loop until he accepted fate, or died.

Obito had hashi DNA and his MS never went blind. Madz got blind in one eye then implanted hashirama DNA. I think the healing properties of hashirama's DNA reversed the effects of blindness. This could also be the effects of Ashura's and Indra's chakra mixing to produce rikudo's chakra. Also, the *********** translation says nothing about tobirama; not sure if its a translation error.

With EMS you might not go blind no matter how many times you use it, however if a technique specifically requires such sacrifice, then the rule might not take place. Also, there is a misconception about rinnegan. Kabuto has never stated that you need EMS to evolve it into rinnegan. He has never said: sharingan>MS>EMS>Rinnegan. He only said this:

You must be registered for see images

In other words, sharingan can evolve straight into rinnegan, if you have senju dna and ofc if you have the chakra or both of the previous ressurections. That being said, Madara might have to truly used Izuna's eyes, and he might have replaced his brother's with his originals. So his original pair of sharingan, that later became MS, that was the one which actually evolved into rinnegan.

Problem I have is that Senju DNA is never stated or shown to "regenerate" or heal wounds or blindness. It has been shown to stave off blindness yes in Obito's case. However from what I can tell senju DNA is kind of like a force multiplier it makes your body "better" but it doesn't grant regeneration or any of that Op stuff.

Have we seen anyone regenerate any serious aliment like blindness on their own just with their body? No its a technique that seems to be FAR easier to use if you do have senju DNA. Madara has obviously not been capable of using the healing technique until he absorbed Hashirama's Sage mode. Which only just happened recently, ergo he couldn't have regenerated his eyes.

Maybe Senju DNA only boosts Uchiha . .. . and maybe vice cersa [though it has not been shown]

Well what im thinking he must have used his own eyes or another Uchihas because technically he would have had Izuna's eyes then and he could have later transplanted his own or another at the time of awakening his rinnegan.
