He was a disgrace before he redeemed himself. It was about kid/chuunin exams Gaara. That Gaara was an evil bastard child who went around killing people for fun and couldn't harness his own power for its true purpose. (He was still awesome, but admit he was evil.)

While all this is true I agree with KingHashirama it fits Madara perfectly

Nor did they exile Madara. Hashirama tried to kill him, and he left because they thought he was dead. He wasn't exiled.

It would be a pretty legit ending IMO. Sasuke finally comes back to the village but gets banished. He gives his eyes to Naruto before he leaves and tells him that he swears to protect Konoha from the shadows. He becomes a blind fighter, and a small chapter is dedicated towards Sasuke saving the village from a secret foe.

I don't see Hashirama being that kind of a guy. But he did self defense. If that ended up "killing" madara then it was Madara's fault.
