over time i think we will see madara become stronger then the sage himself or on the same level.
edo madara talks about his wait/pateince to in order to achieve his goal which continues to become true and it seems if madara obtains the ten tails as a jinchuriki he will out do the sage himself.
the sage of six path is only the founder of ninjutsu so he gave his basic knowledge and shared his teachings but overtime ninjutsu evolves creating new techniques that the sage never had in his original founding of ninjutsu.
madara already has the two bloodlines of the sage of six path's which is the uchiha and senju which makes him on base sage of six path's level which is why people call madara an entity threw out the manga so madara is already showing himself to be there.
madara already has the bloodline but the thing that seperates madara from the sage is the ten tails,once madara becomes the jinchuriki of the ten tails he will have that inhuman power added to himself out definately out do the sage which would put a gap to the sage and madara.
WHy i think madara would beat him
why madara would even be more powerful then the sage himself is that madara uchiha would have all the years of advanced ninjutu being developed all these years like space time/edo tensai(various other new jutsu's) unlike the sage and also the power of knowledge to create things with madara knowledge over the sage of these past centuries which to me would put madara over the sage of six path.

edo madara(hashirama and madara combined)=base sage of six path(with out ten tails transformation)
if
edo madara(ten tails jinchuriki,advanded knowledge of ninjutsu)>sage of six path(basic ninjutsu knowledge,ten tails power)
so if the edo madara was the ten tails jinchuriki and fought the sage i think madara advanded knowledge of ninjutsu would put him over the edge but this is just an opinion.
