If Tobi is some how Madara...Why would Kabuto call him "fake madara" and say that he doesnt think Tobi or "fake madara" will cooperate with Madara. If some how Tobi is Madara than this convo makes no sense.

Also, Tobi's reaction after learning Kabuto used Edo Madara. Its just not indicitive of some one who is actually some how Madara himself. He pretty much admits he used Madara for his name, "the war has already started" and realizes he no longer needs to use that alias. Why would some one..who is actually some how Madara...react this way.

I really dont have any HARD evidence, but just reading the recent chapters makes me think Tobi is some one else..

He says "Or are you going by Madara now" by the way. The point of the statement was.... that he initially was called Tobi and then started claiming to be Madara. That doesn't really indicate any inside knowledge since it's just a statement of the facts. o.o Also, that was a typo earlier. Kabuto knew Tobi wasn't Madara since he was able to raise the Edo of Madara in the first place. That's probably how he knew for a fact that Tobi was a fake. Him showing Tobi the coffin was just further proof. Tobi mentioned some time after that he didn't have too much information on Tobi. He just knew little details about the Moon Eye plan and that Tobi was a fake. He also knew about Madara's prime.

Also, the "Madara" that Kisame met looked a heck of a lot more like Madara than Tobi does. And the odd thing is, about 8 years after Kurama's attack on Konoha, Itachi also met a masked man (around the Uchiha Clan massacre) and he looks like Kisame's Madara as well, despite having Tobi's usual hair previously:

Also I you look closely in the first drop down in the shadows you can kinda make out the mask he used, it looks fairly similar to the one he used the night he met Itachi!
Just an observation!

what if when madara's lil brother supposedly sacrificed his eyes to Madara he actually sacrificed his body too?? meaning...im not sure how or if this could even work but what if? maybe something happened and Izuna prepared to be Madara's vessel, just like Oro was wanting to do with Sasuke and it was all apart of the plan somehow, it could explain why Tobi looks so old or it could be his own son thats a vessel.....its a thought i had a cant figure out yet how to back up....

nice......i have a similar theory based off the principles of edo-tensai and your info helps back it up sorta

i came up with it after the kin/gin fight when atsui and samui had their souls removed yet continued to live...... and immediatly thought of "shell of his former self"

anyway to try and not repost my whole theory here...... edo-tensai requires soul to be in pure world

and its said thats where your soul goes when you die.....but it doesn't say that your automatically dead if your soul is there

between mito uzumaki and hashirama senju its possible that a sealing jutsu could exist that robbed madara of his soul and trapped it in the pure world

this would justify why tobi/madara both wanted nagato's gedo mazo tech.

and why both could exist at the very same time (edo-tensai only requires soul to be in pure world and DNA)

-Madara is a soul trapped in a zombie body
-tobi is madara's souless senju/hybrid body

Their souls weren't removed, but what was referred to as their "soul word" (言霊, kotodama) (i.e the word they'd said the most).

I was just trying to tell you that it wasn't exactly their soul that was taken hostage, not tell you that your theory was wrong. :O If you're reading a translation that says it was just their soul, then it's wrong. o3o

I think Tobi is Madara's brother [uchiha izuna], hence his fascination with eyes (having a ton of eyes in drawers) due to his brother taking his eyes, we also know Madara's brother survived after his eyes were gone and still fought.
