Madara is meant to be Evil!!!! How can it be so offensive that he's sexist?!!

i used to think that, but madara need the fox and still lost so hasihrama in my books is alot head of madara ems. Thats logical to me anyway.

Ill be honest, theres no point in us even arguing about it, we wont really know how close they were (which I still think was very close) in power until the fight is shown in the manga. Then we can see how powerful Madara really was with the EMS, and how powerful Hashirama really was.
Madaras use of Hashiramas powers may not be a fair representation as he's using a few of his own techniques such as big fire attacks as well.

Anyway as its been ms, yes ms madara was able to fight on par with hashirama several times before their final battle which this time madara had the ems and the fox. This leads me to believe that he thinks power alone was enough to defeat hashirama and disregarded everything else. Im sure that fight was extremely close and not a walk in the park for hashirama. Could even say its the will of fire that saw him through

Judging from Kurama's flashback of when Hashirama spoke to him before sealing him... If you're pushed to those limits you don't sit and chat, you just seal away; I wouldn't explain my actions. Plus his look wasn't dire either. he looked winded with a scrape on his head and a bloody lip; whereas Madara was left for dead.... Dude does need to stop talking trash because if he wasn't an Edo he'd be dead after that last Jinton Oonoki hit him with.

At the highlighted part + rep made me lol. Seems like madara even in the manga is rubbing people the wrong way in real life. I actually find him funny tbh and nothing more.

Extremely close, i believe so. Lets not forget that we are beginning to know hashirama's true powers, whilst we only konw that ems madara has susano. You could argue that the meteor was an ems technique since, sine he formed hanseals in conjunction with his susano.People might say it was a rennigan technique since it was activated when the technique was done, but he activated it to absorb rs. Similarly he had the rennigan on when he used mokouton and yasaka magatama and those arent rennigan techniques. Anyway hopefully we would see ems madara's powers aswell, if he was the only person at that time that was able to fight hashirama and walk away with his life several times, including the final fight also.

We did see hashirama bleeding and wounded with mito, although we arent sure if this was after the fight with madara

I think Madara's comments just further cemented the fact that Madara did indeed lose to Hashirama. Hashi could heal his wounds without hand seals, could use all his jutsu on a grand scale? It makes sense why MAdara lost that fight..he says teh reason he fought Hashirama was to gain his DNA, more than likely to gain greater power in the Rinnegan, why go through all that trouble if your enemy is weaker than you?

A bit? The guy thinks he's above and beyond anything in the world. It's pathetic to me because the power he's using to beat the 5 kages isn't even his own power, it's the power of the man he was jealous of and lost to.

He's the most OP character we've seen in the series, and regardless of how he gained that power he's spanking the 5 kages all at once. I'm not surprised he's gotten a little bit cocky.

Let 'em hate, at least we both know what a badass Madara is :3

Heh, but seriously, I was laughing when he basically called Tsunade "ugly". The look on her face? Priceless. I don't mind his overconfidence at all, it's amusing.

Maybe he is a hypocrite. So what? Everyone has been a hypocrite at least once in their lives. Fact is, he's completely pwning the Kages up until now, and all Tsunade has to say is "But I haz teh WILL of FIYAH!" as if that's gonna make any difference. Just pathetic xD

I mean it can't be more obvious:

Madara is a loudmouth and ridiculing tsunade or the senju's in general. But on the other hand he has a face of hashirama on his body, and constantly using his powers. On top of that he is a EDO. And guess what? Who is the inventer of Edo tensei? That's right another senju! Tobirama Senju. Madara just became the biggest joke of the seriesxd.

Well another way to look at it is that it was'nt so much of an attempt to belittle Tsunade(disparaging your opponent is a typical psychological tool) as it was an acknowledgement of the prowess of Hashirama.

I suppose some people who like the strong silent type of characters like Itachi find this facet of Madara's distinct character to be unappealing to the point of being repulsive.

But i would'nt worry or read too much into it. I can bet you anything he was saying similar things about Hashirama before they fought and here he is praising him lol. Its just a character type that is bold and cocky, a trait somewhat similar to Naruto.

Madara was ignored by his clan then they got ****ed.
