The SO6P created the moon by using Chibaku Tensie.
First let's discuss the moon on a scientific view. The reason the Moon has lots of crater is because The moon acts as the Earth's shield from meteorite and asteroid. If you Google even NASA agrees with this. The moon is also the closest Planetary body from the earth.
