Madara/Tobi dumb or freaking brilliant

I'm new to the base and I haven't seen a post about this so don't bash me to bad if this has come up before. Is it me or is Madara/Tobi dumb? If Tobi is truely Madara then he shouldn't be surprised by anything due to his age and experience. Danzo surprised him with his volume of sharigan and use of izagani. He was surprised that Orochimaro knew so much about him and his plans. And if he truely wanted to revive the Juubi then wouldn't he have explored the possibilities of using the Gin brothers along time ago? Plus he was almost beat by Konan and had no idea how to use edo tensei. Maybe it's just me but I expected better from one of the founders of the hidden leaf.

He was in hiding so how would he know about a technique that was made by one guy. Improved and used by another while he was still hiding. Only thing I wondered is when he started his idea of the moon eye plan. Because it gave no clear time of when he started it which makes me think why he didn't just capture the beasts earlier instead of now.

He is freaking brilliant. Using Neji as a spy? Using Edo Tensei? Itachi and Pain together in a squadron? He has a bayakugan, a sharingan, and a rinnegan on his side, and a rinnegan and a sharingan to himself. I think he is planning something... something much larger than even he knows... Far beyond the Eye of the Moon plan. I think he is planning to create a new breed of Dojutsu. A combination of the big three. What would happen if he combined them though...?

Neji as in hyuga neji is a spy for madara? Seems I need some manga update.

Madara is old and experience yes but remember he's just one person, he's not going to be familiar with every jutsu he comes across,

one thing i refuse to believe tobi is madara tobi was killed crushed by giant boulders. and even though this was not shown its known that they dont leave bodies behind cause they dont want enemies to steal secrets from thier comrads bodies , second hes a genius he recreated the rinnegan who else can do that

Isn't using edo tensei kabuto's doing? Something is way off here. Maybe there is something beyond the Eye of the Moon plan or maybe someone else is running the show. Let's not forget that Orchimaro was in hiding for years but still managed to learn thousands of jutsu. And Tobi/Madara couldn't have been just "hiding" since he was around for the uchiha massacre and managed to collect sharingan. This seems like another perfect vessel attempt similar to the one Orchimaro had planned for Sauske. Is it possible for Kabuto to be the brain fueling Madara/Tobi's ambitions? Kabuto is the one who brought out the Gin brothers.
