So all Madara's plan was based on luck.

1- He give his rinnengan to Nagato for him to resurrect him without even introducing himself to him and make things for his revival to happen.

2- He leaves Obito by giving him Hashirama's DNA, teaching him everything he does and go dying not thinking Obito could betray him and prepare himself. And like we know, Obito never tried to revive him. He was only lucky Kabuto revived him with Edo tensei

3- Not only was he lucky to be revived with Edo tensei, but he was brought back beyond his prime with Rinnengan and Hashirama's DNA in a young body

4- Finally: "His trump card". Haha Lmao. Lol So his trump card was to take the DNA of someone to use it for his purpose, said someone he had no idea could have been brought back

So all in all Madara planned nothing. All was based on luck that should have happened 0.000001% of the time

Obito wanted to revive madara useing nagato! but nagato betrayed him!

Do you remember when obito was going by madara's name he told konan "the rinne tensei was for my benifit"

That means obito wanted revive madara! NAGATO betrayed him!

Madara being a genius had a back up plan to revive himself and that back up plan was obito XD
