I've been thinking about this alot lately, and this is my theory about Madara and the end of Naruto Shippuden.
When i look back at Madara and his history something comes to mind. He was with Hashirama the founding father of Konoha Leader of the Uchiha Clan and best friend with Hashirama
He was actually chosen to become the first Hokage but due to the villagers being racist yes thats right, i said racist, they wanted someone with Senju blood to become Hokage, not a "dirty Uchiha" He was different, not trusted, everyone looked strange at him... Hashirama wantet to commit suicide so that Madara could become Hokage, he hatet the fact that the Uchiha and Senju was fighting all the time, and wanted to end it, but Madara stopped him from commiting suicide and insted opted to leave the village, Hashirama promised that Madara would become second Hokage but that never happende, his brother Tobirama became Hokage instead
Madara stopped believing that matters could be solved, like he told Ohnoki "the deal i off, there is no pact" Madara had tried all his life to become a great leader of Konoha, but was spit in the face every time he tried to. He could have destroyed the entire village and everyone in it if he wanted, but he never did. When he fought Hashirama they always fought long away from everyone.
He also could have killed the Gokage, but did not, why? They where all lying there, half-dead he could of just gotten rid of them. But let them live. And when the allied shinobi attacked him, he fought back, thats normal, it's a war. He never attacked anyone that wasn't there to fight!
Naruto's story is almost the same as Madara, Naruto was a Jinchuriki, an outcast from the begining, different, strange and the villagers looked at him with contempt and anger. Naruto was lucky and had friends that helped him through all of it, like Jiraiya and Kakashi Madara had only his brother and TOBIRAMA KILLED HIM So no wonder he hates the Senju! I would hate the guts of the Senju if they killed my only brother and friend.
So the question begs, who are actually the bad guys here? Seems to me that Konoha, the villagers, elders, and Senju lineage are the worst! And the Uchiha are the victims and rightfully angry and pissed, Sasuke deserves more than Naruto to become Hokage Yes, i said it! He should become Hokage and continue what Madara and Hashirama tried to do in the first place, create a frindship between Senju and Uchiha. A unified Konoha.
Maybe thats where the mange is heading, i dont know, but in my eyes Madara is for sure one of the greates Heroes of NV
