Well you're right, actually Hashirama won with extreme difficulty, but Madara after that fight was still ABLE to fake his DEATH. Yes indeed he faked it don't go against things that were stated in Manga not so long ago... At any point now Hashirama is weakling compared to some shinobies... ;/ Madara was much smarter and almost equal in Power, he focused on Future and he was the smartest.
