You can tell this is no longer Kishimotos story. This is a fanfic variation of the Boruto manga. The author is even using different character designs and plans to recon events that happened in canon Boruto timeline.

Stan lee created Spider-man and yet he as other writers and different artists pen him.

If you're so intolerable of a canon storyline you can simply ignore it. That's like saying the neon genesis evangelion rebuilds aren't canon. Re-telling of a story isn't necessarily making it non-canon especially when differences such as Naruto's hokage design and omission of the Sasuke fight in the manga aren't mentioned.

Naruto fanbase are very intolerable and judgmental people. You're more entitled to your self assertions than you are fans of the content. This series would no more be canon to you or others if Kishimoto drew it himself. You'd only whine about him "milking the series".

Hell, the creator of OPM has the shittiest artwork i've ever seen from a mainstream series, yet a guy redrew it (redesigned a few more or less) and re-told the story of OPM, but I see no one crying, "NON-Canon"

After reading it I realized theres nothing much more the story really could have gone without completely coming up with some bogus plot. Not really. Kishi calls this canon and you choose to ignore it. You've done the same for The Last:NTLM. I'm surprised you even consider the recent movie canon seeing how you're in your feelings about Kishi's direction.

I'd be interested in you making a thread with that reasoning on why it isn't canon.
