Madara strongest shinobi

Ok so when I got out of school i re-read the sasuke vs itachi fight when itachi was talking about madara's life story. and after he got his EMS he took control over every shinobi clan so he was praised as the strongest shinobi in the world. as it says here

but a few of the war chapters the same was said about the 1st.hokage hashirama people called him the strongest shinobi also! as here.

so if people called them both the strongest shinobi so they should have been equal in terms of power and the manga is confusing on how they mix up things by saying that who were the strongest of that Era.

This is true. also i believe they were constantly surpassing eachother. one moment madara was stronger. then hashirama got stronger then madara awakened Ems then he got stronger. its like the naruto sasuke story and they were even at the end imo hashirama barely won if i had to guess.

I tend to think that the huge majority of the time they were equals. Though the 1st surpassed Madara in their final battle, Madara lives on, so in a strange way they still are equals. of course, this depends on your point of view I suppose...

Now Hashirama wouldn't even stand a chance, BUT, we don't know what purpose that fight was for to Madara ? I'm sure Madara also knows about Izanami. Afteral he's the Legendary Uchiha who knows all the secrets on the stone.

I think Hashi kept surpassing madara time after time until madara (the smarter one) planned farther ahead then hashi expected.. All hashi expected was the usual fight to see who's stronger..but madara's focus was on obtaining dna while hashi was focused on a win..

Like sasuke and naruto's fight sasuke went for a win ans naruto just scratched the headband to prove a point, but in madara's case hashi went for the kill and madara went for dna..

But anyway in the foundation of the leaf hashi was stronget, madara with rinnega and soo on is stronger.

He obtained Hashi's DNA, but Kabuto had to give him Mokuton.

Rinnegan - Yes, but he died shortly after.

Moons Eye - You have no proof that it was his plan.
