Seriously, he intends to discard it anyways. If this doesn't happen, Kishimoto is being a bad writer IMO

He won't have the eye that long, and Izanagi is cast instantly (i.e. Danzo beat MS speed) . All the more reason for Madara to spam Izanagi with it, waste the eye and 100% seal his victory... Sadly Kishimoto is too sentimental to actually do this -_-

It's bad writing because it is simply a tactical blunder for someone as genius as Madara to discard something that could later be used against him. As an Uchiha he realizes the undeniable power of a Mangekyou Sharingan. Leaving it laying around would just be stupid... It makes most sense for him to blow Izanagi on it (he taught the technique to Obito afterall) and then take his Rinnegan back.

.... No point to him using it seeing as neither obito nor sakura can kill him. Also he can just crush the eye if he wants to. Furthermore it is an eye that has just about lost it's light and is not all that dangerous to him. Actually it is completely irrelevant to him if it was capable of doing serious damage to madara it would have by now.

There is 0% logical reason that a 90% dead Obito and Sakura should be able to stand up to Madara. Sorry, but if they survive it's just ridiculous. Obito had all the TB extracted from him and used Rinne Tensei twice. Plus only BZ is (barely) keeping him alive.

He wont need Izanagi against Obito and Sakurabut but using it against Sasuke and Naruto would be stupid because Sasuke has already seen the technique.

He should use it later maybe, yeah. But where he s right now, no. THAT would be stupid. He's be stuck i the Kamui dimension with no way to leave if he did. Plus he has no reason to in his current situation. Now if he saved it for when he got his Rinnegan and escaped from the Kamui dimension then, yeah, that would make sense.
Still, it's not bad writing no matter that you say and complain about it. It would just prove again that Madara is getting WAY too worked up and getting WAY too cocky. Just like when he discarded the Sage's tools. That's going to come back ad bite him in the ass.
