Yeah, I see no reason on why Kishi would make Nardo and the Sauce deal with Hago and Homu's problem. Plus like i said dealing with the Source of all their misery would be more impactful on their characters.
Like a sense of accomplishment and relief on the both of them; Naruto avenged Rin, Obito, his Parents, Nagato, and everybody who was caught in Madara's mess. While Sasuke is free of his clans Curse and cleaned the Uchiha's name for good.

At the end of the day Madara was the cause of it all he decided to trust his hatred and commit acts of evil for his own gain. He could have listened to Hashirama and stood down on that day, but his thirst for power drove him mad.
