idk where i came up with this but im taking a shot at it
i just remembered when the third hokage was trying to seal orochimaru he only managed to seal his jutsu or his arms etc. or watevr tht ws but orochimaru stayed alive but he wasnt as powerful as he was quoting " a weak shell of his fomer self" like madara or tobi claims is right now,
so since the 1st hokage's wife was an uzumaki which are also knwn for there sealing techniques could have taught the 1st hokage a sealing tech, is it safe to say the same situation occured to madara where the 1st try to seal off madara but failed to seal all of him? since orochimaru was so confident in tsunade's ability to cure him again but failed and started switching bodies to keep himslef alive, does tht mean madara found someone who was able to cure him a little bit like for instance zetsu?
