madara says he gave nagato rinnegan

Some one with proof please help me im so confused. madara says he awakened the rinnegan near the end of his life. i remember the manga page where he's old connected to that tree and he had just awakened the rinnegan. around the time obito showed up. assuming that obito and nagato are around the same age how is it possible that madara gave the rinnegan to nagato if when jiraiya found nagato as a little kid he had the rinnegan already. and if madara did give nagato rinnegan, are you telling me he kid napped this kid implanted his eyes into him then returned him to his family. this is the rinnegan were talking about here how could he have know this kid could survive long enough to actually get the rinnegan back. nagato would be another dead kid during the war if it wasn't for jiraiya.

Good question...it had to be prior to them meeting up with Jiraiya otherwise im sure he would have sensed him or something. He said he did it in a way he wouldn't notice...genjutsu maybe?

you misinterpreted the time line... but here's the explanation... remember Madara connected to the tree... he is very old... meaning, or maybe, he has a life before that connection to the tree...

what i am saying is that Madara survive the battle to Hashirama and there is still a timeline in between that... so lets just say, after I fought hashirama, I am on my 60's then after... before I past my rinnegan to Nagato I am on 80's... and remember also, that the Fourth Hokage (minato) became the sensei of team obito with kakashi... so there's still a timeline that takes 20 years to make...

confuse... dont be... Hashirama is dead when Minato became the 4th Hokage...

It is true that Obito was said to have "Died" during the 3rd shinobi world war, which was the same war that Jiraya found Nagato and the other orphans. Additionally if i remember correctly, Nagato's parents where said to have died during the 2nd shinobi world war and in the manga Nagato used his rinnengan for the first time when his parents died. So Madara must have implanted his eyes in Nagato even before then.

However! If you go back and look Madara didn't use the rinnengan, at any time after taking in Obito. Neither did he use his EMS. All we saw was an ordinary sharingan. So what i'm thinking is that he gave his own eyes to Nagato and then took the eyes of another Uchiha afterwards. It does seem very weird though.
