Obito was a late bloomer.

He wasn't as good as Madara or Sasuke at a very young age.

Madara killed several adults before awakening his eyes and Sasuke had a genius brother that rubbed of his intelligence/skill towards his younger.

As soon as the people he cared about life was in danger, he showed great potential and killed an invisible chuunin with a Kunai knife.

Obito is a reflection of naruto, naruto who sucked at everything made Sasuke look weak during his battle against shukaku gaara.

I agree with all of this.

Kishi only chose to show the development of tomoes where they relate to plot, not to showcase sharingan development, but to emphasize the emotions in the story.

It's not as though other abilities and techniques don't suffer from inconsistency.

LMAO, if we switch Obito with Sasuke then, Sasuke would've gotten fked in the ass in his fight against Minato during nine tails attack.
Minato easily spanks MS Sasuke and sasuke would be dead along with all the plans for IT.

but what i find weird is sasuke saw his brother kill his family he should have awaken at least two tomei or three tomei since his was more traumatic

Sasuke and Madara weren't as sensitive as Obito emotionally, that's why Obito got his sharingan power ups at an early age.

Regardless of Madara and Sasuke's status as Indra's reincarnation, Obito simply had the most special sharingan and the most potential out of the Uchiha Clan.

Edit: I also think it may be that Obito's likely a descendant of Madara.
