They're both geniuses in their own right. Kakashi can figure out plans in critical situations. Sasuke can stay calm and analyze the enemies strengths and weaknesses without freaking out. Sasuke is also very good at learning new jutsu's and abilities very quickly. When it comes to battle sense, they are both good but Kakashi does have more experience and wisdom when it comes to intelligence, but Sasuke is still very smart in battle.
