How do you know that naruto didn't use nature energy on the staff to cancel it out? Just like when he used nature energy AFTER he threw the rasen shuriken at the pains and it stayed stable, it rose up and it expanded....? how about that c;

The black rod would have gone through Madara's attack like butter if he didnt use senjutsu. It nullifies all ninjutsu but the senjutsu makes the jutsu's clash!
