Madara only had one eye?

In the manga madara only had 1 eye.....then how did he transplanted his "eyes" into nagato if he only had 1 eye...........so did he just plant half an eye and then made nagato awaken them for himself and there actually are nagato eyes?

I'm assuming his hair covered the other eye....?
Even if you try to link the two images, and say only his left eyes are showing in both, you will notice that one was a rinnegan and the other was a sharingan. Therefore those 2 eyes are different.

He removed both his rinnegans and gave them to nagato and took some other uchiha's eyes.
How? He removed 1 rinnegan, and transplanted in the eye i guess.

I think I see what you're saying that maybe his rinnegan reverted back after giving up the right eye to nagato, but why would that happen? That doesn't make sense, he should be able to keep that one rinnegan, but what do i know.
