There is a noticeable gap in power between the two. While madara always fought to try to kill hashi, hashi always held back because he didn't want to kill his friend until later in the battle. During the clan wars when normal ENS madara faced hashi, hashi gave himma beat down to where madara was on the floor hashi was looking like he barely broke a sweat. It wasn't until madara had the kyuubi that truly made hashi "struggle" but even then hashi didn't want to kill his friend and he layed the kyuubi down. Ten-thousand arm Buddha statue negged. Even madara admitted only hashi could BEAT him.

Another testament to the solo king's power is that people keep saying madara could use mokouton, yeah with who's power? I heard you say blind madara negged hashi? I also heard that alive beings are stronger than their Edo tensei counterparts. It's hard to swallow but hashi simply spanks madara mid high diff

with Itachi, think about it : you are willing to murder your beloved mother to protect the integrity of your villages but chides to become BFF/minion of a much more dangerous uchiha masquerading as madara.
