madara and obito's plan is to cast a tsukyomi genjutsu off the reflection of the moon affecting everyone on the planet placing them in the ultimate genjutsu which is said to have no escape but is an exact replica of reality itself. With the exception of war violence and death and pretty much all things negative, tsuki no me is meant to pull all things that existed in reality into the genjutsu
obitos purpose for tsuki no me:
Obito feels that the real world is fake and that the fake world hes to create would be real. He also feels that the world is corrupt becaause of past expiriences and preferences and that in the dream world all the corruption would no longer be there because he can shape the imagination into there being no corruption
also hes somewhat become crazed and his reasoning is a bit off and extreme do to him having a generational curse of the uchiha
madara though is diffrent.
hes shown very little need to dislike the world for its corruption.
and hes never acted as though the worlds corruption truly bothered him to a point of madness like obito
what i believe madara is after is simply power and a great position
madara has done nothing but strive for power
hes taken kyuubi gained EMS and obtained hashiramas power and now he has the juubi and all hes primarily interested in is showing off the juubis power
hes been toying with the kages simply showing off his power
what i believe is that madaras main goal is to rule.
hes strived for a top position
my thoughts is that madaras true purpose is to rule in the dream world and pretty much disregard everything obitos fighting for and he shows this by not even caring about obito in a way where he thinks that obito should use rinne tensei and revive madara
madara will thus carry out tsuki no me and place everyone under the genjutsu under his rule
hes able to make anything in the dream world the way he wants
madaras true ambition is to rule and he has the sinister role to do such
he wants to rule over the shinobi world with the dream world
