Okey i will start about his goals: At first he wanted just honor for his clan like every other clan, but then his mind change because of hashirama and he start seek for peace. After some time his mind change again and he was looking for world Domination.

In all his development he was just loosing everything, at first his brother then his honor and at last his clan. No one give a sh1t to Madara after village formation. His clan disrespect him as looser. Its like everyone was agains him.

In whole manga we saw he did't achieved anything at all, he beat kages but no1 die and not they like okey lets try again guys :face palm: ... He try control Obito - he coudnt control...

I like Madara much but look in his life he only loosing everything. Family, clan, friends and much more.

I feel sad for him :/

Madara clearly underestimated how cunning and powerful adult Obito is, which is why he failed.
He remembered Obito as a conflicted boy whom he could easily manipulate, but he didn't factor that time also made Obito more experienced and polished his abilities.
