Madara left Sausage alive on purpose

C'mon, this is Madara we're talking about here... He stabbed Sausage just like Hashirama stabbed him and left him there to be revived like he was after the VOTE battle. It seems that he wasn't too concerned with killing Sausage because he knows that he'll awaken the rinnegan like he did. I think that Madara sees potential in Sausage and he really does remind him of Izuna and therefore he left him alive to become stronger. Like Saiyans, once an Uchiha is defeated once or close to death he returns stronger. U_U

That's just my take on it, Sasuke will get the rinnegan and be able to utilize on of Hashi's techs that will be comparable to Madara's Sage Mode. Sasuke will be one half of Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki (his eyes of course) and Naruto will be other (juubi jinchuriki).

Not quite. Either Madara failed at successfully killing him (like he did the 5 kage) or he knew that he was going to live and develop the rinnegan or an advanced version that the Juubi has.

Madara fatally wounded him, If Kabuto hadnt came when he did, Sasuke would have died. I think Madara wanted Sasuke to die a slow and painful death instead of just lopping off his head and ending him quickly.

Technically he left him alive but only because he thought he was done. Madara stabbed him with no hesitation, he left him there on the floor dying without a second thought.
