Actually, Guy is different than the others... Like Gaara said that his movements weren't human, so basically his skills has been underestimated since the war started. He got really exhausted really fast, but he fought against seven bijuus, Juubi Obito and Madara at the same time along with Kakashi, Killer Bee, Hachibi, Kurama and Naruto so his powers and speed are greater than even Ay, not to mention Naruto as well.

He most likely saw a battle between a complete taijutsu maestro who used it against someone else while he was younger.

That said...I sincerely doubt he would be able to keep up especially cuz he only has one eye. That was Kishi's best attempt to keep him beatable

Gai regardless is no match for Juubidara, speed wise is gave it to madara vs 7th gates because madara reacted to Gai but gai couldnt react to madara, now as for gai becoming a red beast im sure madara still beats gai low diff, albeit gai will do better than the others but he still gets beat low diff...u have to realize gai has to go all out madara doesnt, he cant hurt madara unless the 8th gate uses senjutsu then he could but even then madara has to many ways to defend himself...


and as for gai's recent speed feat, i still say its below s/t techs such as ftg and kamui because they are instant and gai's speed is extremely fast but its not instant, and madara reacted to ftg from minato and tobirama, and obito expressed his kamui's inferiority to madara's speed, but 7th gate gai is faster than A and naruto but its a short lived power...

also 8th gate im not sure if a human speed can be instantaneous but he in the 8th gate will surely test that theory because if a person unaided by an object that gives u instant speed moves at an instant speed, u might as well call him omnipresent and if gai is onminpresent that would mean juubidara has less speed than him, but speed and reaction is way different juubidara could have less speed than 8th gate gai but that doesnt mean he wont be able to react to 8th gate gai...

im still not sold on anyone other than naruto and sasuke seriously damaging madara for obvious reasons but gai certainly could make it to the top 12 in the 7th gate and in top 10 once he goes to the 8th gate because although he becomes very fast i dnt think he can beat itachi or minato or kabuto or naruto or sasuke or obito or nagato, there's nothing thats says he's faster than s/t, there's nothing that says he can break any complete susano, there's nothing that says he can he is durable enough to survive blows from any of these i've listed...i didnt list juubidara and hashirama and althoug hashirama doesnt have any speed feats he has too many techs that can subdue anyone outside of juubi jins, mokuton clones and bringer of darkness beats any shinobi that doesnt have any dojutsu

I don't really see how Madara reacted to Guy, as we saw Guy was just trying to hit Madara at an extremely fast speed, Madara wasn't actually in a taijutsu fight with him, Madara was just flying backwards, it's the same with Itachi and Bee, Itachi just backstepped rather than actually trying to fight it.

Madara sensed the FTG from Minato and Tobirama, the difference is is that Minato and Tobirama aren't as fast to act as Guy is, Minato and Tobirama might've instantly teleported behind/infront of Madara, but it's not like they teleported the hit, they still had to attack him, so actually Madara reacted to the attack.

Guy could be just as fast as FTG, it just depends on what distance, of course at a longer/farther distance FTG is going to be the better choice.
I wouldn't say that the 7th gate is faster than Naruto just yet.
Obito's Kamui was inferior to those flying black balls *lol* because as the jin of Yin Kurama it will take longer to teleport, considering that it's more chakra to teleport.

reaction is being able to anticipate and avoid, madara did that, he successfully dodged most of gai's attacks by " moving back " as u say...

regardless if madara senses ftg its still instant, gai nor any human can move instant, thats why certain objects and seals are needed to do so, now like gaara said gai moves at inhuman levels but not instant levels and i would much rather have to fight gai rather than someone i cant see or sense up until their in my face...


i think the 7th gate is faster than naruto or at least = naruto's speed...



altough u are right about obito's kamui and the amount of chakra weighing him down, madara still wasnt thinking about it that way, he was saying that he could hit obito, and that kamui was too slow to avoid him and the fact that he knows how kamui works suggest that regardless if obito didnt have the extra weight his kamui would still be too slow, a well thought out plan can get u a hit on obito as shown by kkashi and minato way back then, because kamui is only as fast as the user anticipates incoming attacks so madara knowing how it works and having the speed he could easily counter kamui faster than what minato did which was pretty fast...
