Madara was clearly the final villain, aside from sasuke. she just became another plot device to bring that stupid team 7 together, which 2 people had no business being there.

Well we certainly see eye to eye on all that then. Honestly with the way the final arc was structured I personally feel even Naruto and Sasuke's fight was incredibly forced, but it at least makes perfect sense WHY it had to be forced - unlike Kaguya.

Kishimoto said in the interview that he only killed Itachi off, because otherwise he would have defeated Madara.
