Since Obito had receive Hashirama dna;he was able to regeneration his hand and leg as a child after his body was damage from the rocks;Obito repair his hand from Konan paper bombs;Obito heal after naruto damage his hand.These regenerating /healing features were the cause of Senju dna.

Madara had Hashirama dna after their battle in the past and plus he cultivated these dna to create a connection with gedo mazo inorder to extend his life span.
When Madara die Kabuto give him more senju dna inorder to enhance his powers.This mean if Madara get injure he can still regenerate limb and heal constantly with Hashirama powers.
