[Theory] Madara is still alive

Madara was taken over, we get that.

There are two forms of being taken over, the body being taken over for something alive or the body taken over for something dead.

Edo Tensei revives someone who is still dead, i.e a zombie, the person taken over dies immediately.

It makes sense that the opposite is true. The person taken over for an alive being must allow the person being taken over to live.

When Orochimaru takes over someone's body, the person is still alive. This is in order for the Oro to be a host.

Being a Jin is the same thing, the subject must be alive. That was why Edo Madara couldn't become a Juubi Jin because he is dead and the Juubi is alive.


Nagato was able to control dead bodies because Nagato never intended to inhabit those bodies.


Conclusion:

Having a Edo use a vessel means the vessel is dead because the Edo is in fact dead.

Having someone alive use a vessel, e.g Oro, means that the vessel must be alive.

Kaguya is alive therefore Madara must be alive. A living person cannot use a dead host.

A living person like Kaguya cannot use a rotting dead corpse as a vessel.

Madara isn't dead because he was the juubi jinchuuriki and we know that if the jinchuuriki dies, the beast is released in the material world. BZ and Kaguya took over alive Madara in order to use his body as a substitute.

idk,mane. BZ could've just simply "possessed" madara or he could've transformed madara into kaguya on a cellular level thus killing him. Kind of like how a zombie virus turns humans into the living dead..
