Madara is quite possibly stronger than the original sage before the Sage absorbed the Juubi.

Like the Sage, he has truly mastered the supreme body (enhanced further by Edo Tensei) and eyes.

And arguably surpasses the Sage in jutsu knowledge since stuff like Izanami hadn't been invented back then.

Minato sealed 50% Kurama into him despite being significantly weaker in raw power.

Someone like Hashirama (who Madara absorbed) is literally stronger than 100% Kurama in a straight brawl.
