Upon re-reading some of the manga, I have discovered that it is very likely that Madara is not dead.

First, let's examine Black Zetsu's story of the Juubi:

This page illustrates a few important points:

• Kaguya and The holy tree are one in the same.
• Her will is literally a part of the Juubi, as she is a part of the Juubi, and thus a part of the holy tree.

Now let's rewind to when Sage of Six Paths Madara was severely damaged by Gai and Naruto:

The Juubi/Kaguya Spoke to Madara and wanted him to absorb her. How do you know that it was Kaguya speaking? Take a look at what happened after he absorbed the Juubi:

That is Kaguya's face! The way "The time to become one has come" was purposely put over an illustration of Kaguya's face, it's almost as if Kishimoto wanted to foreshadow this.

When Black Zetsu attacked Madara, he did not die, instead, it triggered a transformation. This is when Kaguya took over Madara's body:

Black Zetsu also waited until Madara casted the Infinite Tsukuyomi before betraying him and triggering the transformation in Chapter 678.

Thus, conditions for a host for Kaguya are likely:

• Obtain the power of the Sage of Six Paths
• Absorb the Juubi/Kaguya into your being
• Cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi

With Kaguya and Madara now being one entity/Madara being a host for Kaguya, he cannot be dead yet, or else, Kaguya would be dead as well.

He's dead. Also, Mugen Tsukuyomi is most likely not a requirement for Kaguya's revival. Only only needs to amass a great amount of chakra.

To be fair, they never showed him dying either. Once BZ attacked him, Madara screamed in agony, then BZ covered his body, while it started amassing large amounts of chakra until he transformed into Kaguya.

When Gai cut his hand and his chest .... the why he got his hand and his chest back is the same way he got his legs back .

And it is thanks to either the ( Tree he absorbed , being juubi's jin , having Hashirama's ability of

Regenerate which has been developed by becoming the Juubi's jin ) .

madara's fine, probably a more accurate description is he is supressed by kaguya, in a similar way to how sasuke was suppressing orochi

the legs may be a different issue though. as in madara cannot regenerate himself from just his legs, else he would keep cutting himself in half and have an army of himselves. I imagine he can only regenerate from the body with the heart/brain.

but hashi can probably do it for him. because why not.
