[Discussion] Madara is going away...but he ain't going nowhere...

..because he knows exactly what to do. The latency involved seems to let them sort of fade away but they have enough time to leave a word or two and in Itachi's case he actually executed Tsukuyomi.

Madara's no more special than the rest, he's just the most powerful but he will be dispelled just like everyone else. The entire explanation of it's workings and series of events leading up to this point is so that we aren't surprised when he uses Izanagi to remain behind somehow.

Someone on another forum thinks now that he has shown us the ultimate Susano'o he can go freely and has served his purpose as a preview to Sasuke. I find that agreeable.

This would be agreeable as well if he nailed it in time during the brief moments of freedom from Edo Tensei.

I really think that he is gone soon. There is no place in the story for such a person anymore and the generations have changed. Unfortunately I have to agree that he might kill one of the kage before, but it's really unrealistic and was unrealistic from the start that he would wipe them all out. Gaara died before and is an important symbol for the future. I doubt he will die again. Together with Naruto as hokage, he will present a new generation and a new way of thinking. Same goes for Mai.

Only one I can see dying now is tsuchikage. Madara might be able to do one more strike and tsuchikage will jump in and die to protect the rest of the group.

Him simply vanishing seems abit too boring though. If he was to just disappear, he would have by now but he probably only has a few more seconds. Thinking realistically, that's probably it.

If he really stays somehow, the kage will defeat him somehow. They simply have to because of plot-no-jutsu. But if that happens, some of them (not Gaara or Mai for sure) will die. If he gets away fully, I'd have no idea where to put him. What to do with someone like that in the story? Makes no sense. Plus we still have Tobi who claims to be Madara und who fears that creation of Kabuto. Remember, Kabuto blackmailed him with the coffin.

Would be funny if Tobi has to get rid of him somehow. I'd die laughing because, again, where else to put him?!

It's true that his place in the story is very limited and he's here to act more as an incredible obstacle and measuring stick rather than a lasting entity. I'm just wondering if that obstacle will disappear this soon or trudge on for a second and in doing so raise the bar again before leaving.

well i do think madara is staying but maybe in another way like sasuke learning endo tensi and bringing back madarato help him destroy the leaf village. Suigetsu has a scroll that he's bring sasuke so what jutsu in Orochimaru hide out could he have found that sasuke will find interesting the dude with sunna and fought five kage. if its not the endo tensi scroll i hope sasuke Amaterasu his butt if its not endo tenso scroll lol but your theory my be right to either one but yeah we have not seen the last of madara and the last chapter to me was a 4, good thread

i still think that madara has something up his sleeve cuz i don't think that madara had planned to get resurrected by edo tensei i think he maybe have some deal with tobi and will probably get revived for good soon enough, that's just an assumption based on no facts

izanagi can bend his own realty but he is a edo he can use izangi just to stop for some moments the release of his soul ..... but he cant make himself stay forever .... maybe he can use rinn tensei to get himself revived or tobi will use later rinne tensei to revive him ....

i belive that his form as a edo is gone ... but mabe he will come back somehow ....

he had no control over his body .... only his mind was free becaus ekabuto give him free rain to battle the kages

, Madara said something about teaching Hashirama how to rise from the dead. Whats up with that statement? Could it perhaps mean that Madara knows how to "rise from the dead"? Is there a jutsu that can allow someone to resurrect oneself?

Firstly, Hashirama didn't have the Rinnegan so Madara could not be talking about the Outer Path. It has to be something Hashirama could "learn" with his own abilities. Hashirama's only special abilities were Mokuton and Yang-release. Could it be that Madara knows of a Mokuton/Yang-release jutsu that allows the user to "Rise from the dead"? A jutsu not even Hashirama knew he was capable of? If I had to guess I'd say its a Yang-release jutsu because it can breath life into things.

If so...why didn't Madara use it on himself? And...can he use it on himself now?
