Hashirama defeated EMS Madara, who, at that point was the Strongest Uchiha. You would think Hashirama would have at least a BIT of trouble with him. Now, compare EMS Madara to Edo Madara. Edo Madara CLEARLY got an upgrade. Rinnegan, infinite chakra, perfect Susanoo, etc. If Hashirama DOES defeat Edo Madara, it would either end with both of their deaths, or Hashirama killing Edo Madara at extreme difficulty.

I wouldn't go that far saying madara is fodder. But yes hashi is better. Madara knows best especially on this. Guys don't try to give opinionated detail on statements made so bluntly. Madara only gives credit where its due. He said hashi is the only one that could beat him NOWWW. The only one who can beat him PERIODDDD. It is what it is. And for those discrediting the storm generations you should know that the developers of the game gave bonus anime. They said some of the anime would be non canon just to give to the fans new to see AS WELL as giving emphasis on Canon things we've only heard about. Madara vs hashi being one of them. It is canon. IT'S BASED ON THE MANGA, if it wasn't it would contradict what we've seen or heard from the manga.

Hashirama is stronger then Madara in every way. Madara said that each time they fought, he always lost, he didn't say it came close each time and Hashi was near death each time, he just said he lost every time. So, if they fight numerous times and Madara still didn't learn his lesson, Hashi was just going easy on him, Madara was just a fodder to Hashi, until he obtained control over the kyuubi and got ems, but even still, he onlt managed to tire Hashi out a little.
