Reality and Morality is subjective.
Each of us seek a “good feeling” reality, this is a humans will. Morality is nothing more than an excuse to act upon our will.
Some realities conflict, and “heros” face “heros”.
So how do conflicting subjective realities co exist?
Power.
Those who are strong force their will, their reality on those who are weak.
The strong are the winners and the weak are the losers.
Neither is evil, neither is good. These are merely lies made up to justify bloodshed and propagate followers.
Madara is in fact the only person within the anime series who has a clear grasp on reality.
The world is a cruel world of the strong devouring the weak and then naming that justice.
"As long as the concept of winners exist, there must also be losers." -Madara
The only way to resolve these conflicts is to allow each person their own subjective reality without the many subjective realities conflicting.
Therefor allowing each human to co exist in peace.
An illusion world cultivated to each persons desire is the only way to achieve such a feat.
If one is against fake realities then I hope they do not watch Television, play videogames or engage in any media which presents a fake reality to fulfill their individuals desires.
Truthfully what can be said is that Madara’s Philosophy is not evil or insane, Madara’s Philosophy is simply a philosophy ahead of his time.
