To think that madara took his brothers eyes just to beat hashirama makes me think of him as no more than a fool. If he loved his brother so much he could have taken someone others eyes like danzo. (Itachi wanted sasukes eyes. At that time sasuke didnt have mangekyou sharingan. This states that a person with mangekyou sharingan can get it again if he took eyes of normal sharingan) But he took his brothers. This confirms that he had more hatred towards other clan than his love for brother.
