They grew up in two COMPLETELY different eras.. If Madara was born into Sasuke's era, he'd might probably work a bit less for his.
But he grew up in an entirely war torn generation where he had no other choice, Sasuke is no brat, and it's not his fault he was destined to gain power. If you're gonna complain about free power ups, then be fair & complain about Naruto's numerous "free" powerups as well.. Otherwise cut the hypocrisy.
Edit: When does power make a character suddenly "Better" ???????? Madara, although a favorite of mine, his role has been the same throughout his introduction, a flat and static character... Sasuke has always been a lot more realistic than Madara, with numerous dynamic changes throughout the story with numerous understandably justifiable reasons. Madara's character has been steeped with obsession, envy, & coveting throughout his entire adult portrayal which for him is static.
