Madara gave the Rinnegan to baby Nagato?

Now that it is confirmed it doesn't make any sense. Why would Madara trust his eyes to a baby from Amegakure? Could Madara tell the future with his sharingan? How did he know Nagato would even survive long enough for Obito to meet with him? How did Madara know that Nagato would seek peace when his parents died? So many more questions.

Also, Obito said that he was the one who told Yahiko to set up akatsuki and Konan was shocked at this:

Why was Konan shocked if she was there when the three of them met with Obito?

Yes we do, both Yahiko and Konan are there with Nagato.

The last question is interesting, OP. The three of them were all present when Tobi met Nagato, but its possible Tobi influenced Yahiko on an individual level, where Konan and Nagato did not notice.

Because he had Senju DNA (Uzumaki's were relatives of the Senju) so he trusted it to Nagato. I don't think he knew what would happen to Nagato, he just trusted someone to manipulate him. About telling Yahiko to start Akatsuki, this is 100% true. He was posing as Madara and everything he said in Madara's perspective was absolutely true. The chapter finished with Nagato conversing with Obito, in next week's chapter, we shall see Obito convince Yahiko to start the akatsuki. Since Yahiko was pretty much the leader of the Ame orphans.

I dont think Nagato would have been influenced by Obito if he wasn't an orphan and if Yahiko was'nt killed. So did Madara take a huge risk giving his eyes to senju baby?

Madara giving his eye to a baby senju and not knowing whether he would survive seems like a big risk to me. Obito would not have been able to persuade Nagato if he didn't have the painful life he had. So how did Madara know that Nagato was going to have a painful life?
