Madara defeated Gai 3 times throughout the war. Though, i will give Gai the crdit he deserves for keeping up with Madara despite the help he is receiving.

Aside from plot (no...limbo nor switching to the Sharingan), I actually thought this chapter was pretty decent. ​

Madara thinks the Rinnegan is the superior Dojutsu so why would he switch IC?

And who says Limbo can even hit Gai?

Just because something doesn't go right for a character does not mean it is plot.

But Gai will get merked soon, and Madara didn't even really look totally injured. He was laughing for shit sakes.

From where I am, there is no church. Plot is an inconsistency or inconsistencies riddled within a story which ignores the established facts and logic of said story and/or instituted glaring omissions concerning the structure of the story which extend from events that contradict an earlier establishment, statements that contradict an earlier establishment, and, or, or characters behavior ordeals that contradict an earlier establishment. This inconsistencies are usually ‘fixed’ by introducing retroactive continuity and, or, or having the character(s) themselves(s) acknowledge their deviant behavior.

For example, Madara did not use Limbo—an ocular jutsu with the peculiarity to counterpoise a target on sight—against the central group because Obito possessed the other Rin’negan. Obito is no longer in the vicinity; thus, Madara has no reason to not use Limbo; especially against Gai whom he
