Seriously, there is nothing in his life he can fondly look back on. He has no lover, no clan, no friends, his life ambition failed (he had no idea he would be resurrected) and it seems the same will happen again. The guy is just so one-dimensional and textbook evil villain that he may as well just wear a top hat and a moustache too.

Why must the only unique personality trait of Madara Uchiha be the fact that he's an elitist show-off ****? Before Madara showed up and him and Hashirama were still just mere legends I totally sympathised for his character, it felt like he got betrayed and Hashirama screwed up his chance of rightfully taking the seat of Hokage but now he's returned it's safe to say Madara was just a generic, angry Uchiha douche. Which destroyed his character.

And now a one-dimensional character will serve a one-dimensional role in the manga and then have a one-dimensional death at the end of it, and he'll still die an old defeated man constantly bitter of those better than him.

You must understand, Madara truly was betrayed, but not by Hashirama. Hashirama could not have been a better friend him. Madara was betrayed by his own people. The Uchiha clan ridiculed their own leader and all he was doing was looking out for their best interests, after all, Madara gave a dying Izuna his word that he would, and there was no one more dear to him than Izuna, even more so than Sasuke was to Itachi.


Madara was abandoned by the very people he was trying to protect, he saw Hashirama as a wishful thinker who couldn't really promise him anything. He knew that over time, The Uchiha would be annihilated because everyone on the Senju side despised them except Hashirama.



Madara lost everything, even the fight to claim the village. Madara became the embodiment of Obito's ideals. He isn't really evil, he looks at Konoha and it's supporters as his enemies for obvious reasons.
