A soul and a piece of DNA is completely different, if Hashi broke out of the statue he would simply be a clone, a clone with no memory of his renowned self and as such wouldn't know how to preform in battle.

What if Yamato gains all the powers of Hasi... But I thinks that's highly unlikely. But someone will have to stop Madara, then again the story is called Naruto for a reason.
