I'm calling it. Madara is the one coming out of the scroll Ten Ten has. Madara went out too soon without even a flashback. I'm calling it. I'm pretty sure he used some trick to duplicate himself in some way or form.

Kaguya most likely took over a clone Madara's body. Madara spit out the tools without caring. He probably put his real self inside of it in case.

I'm not too sure about it, but I won't say it can't happen. But it you're right about him going out too fast. Either he knew he might have been suprised attacked and as you said, used a clone, or he might have became overconfident in himself after activating the IT and let his guard down.

But that's another thing, even if he let his guard down, doesn't it seem odd that he wouldn't have sensed BZ's hand coming?
