Madara is the best written Character in Naruto IMO.

Just because he has the most interesting Back story, his character goes very deep, by that I meant there is just so many things that Happened to him/happened because of him, his motives and reasons for doing what he is doing and being who he is are quite good and respectable, if you compare Madara to the likes of Obito/Minato/Nagato I think that Madara is a splending character. He believes in what he thinks is true, all his life was wars/fighting/getting stronger.. he never knew what it is to just relax without having to worry about someone stabbing you from behind, because even that happened to him.. etc.. there's just so many things, you just have to think about stuff when you read the manga.

As for people comparing Yagami Light to Madara.. that is very strange but I can say to you, these are 2 completely different things, but on terms of "Intelligence", you cannot make me think that Madara is by some way goes down to Yagami. Yagami is nothing special, on the other hand the true "Mastermind" in Death Note is L and no one else.

Madara planned EVERYTHING, that is happening in Naruto right now by HIMSELF, he planned like what 20 years or even more ahead?, and he achieved what he wanted. Nagato/Obito his 2 pawns, they would be dead as kids if it wasn't for Madara saving their asses and etc..

OT : Read Yagami from the other side, ROFL.

Nagato was an orphan who saw his parents getting killed, and he was not very bright.

Obito was really retarded like Naruto in the beginning and people still don't get why he still mourns Rin's death. Manipulating him was easy

Madara basically controlled two kids of below average wit and made them his puppet. Still Madara should thanks Kabuto for making his plan successful. A lot could have happened if Kabuto messed up. It's a coincident that everything went according to Madara's plan.

Madara deserves acknowledgement for the knowledge he was able to gather on god tree/fruit/kaguya. It shows how determined he was to fulfill his infinite tsukoyomi plan.

Madara had lots of time to plan ahead after his defeat to Hashirama at VOTE. It's not that he made up every idea in a week or so

Misa is a lot smarter than she looks. She can actually use her brains for strategy, and doesn't make arbitrary decisions. Who is smarter than Light, and deserves to be second smartest anime character? Who can survive against L and CIA alone without getting caught? Light was alone until Misa showed up and his fellow shinigami Ryuk did not help him, unlike Rem who could sacrifice her life for Misa

Light had lots of unfavourable situations and many genius opponents, he has feats of both long term and short term planning

You are merely looking at organizations and not what the officers actually did. Show one thing that was even remotely intelligent from the likes of them:

- Wedy and Aiber die, yet no one suspects Light, when their names were obviously not known given that one was a thief and other was a con-man?

- Why the heck did the Team not try the 13 day rule again after L mysteriously died? The team didn't know the cause, Rem was AWOL according to them. All arrows pointed to Light. Yet they did nothing?

- Takada runs a Kira show and due to some odd circumstances, the Team decides it's okay to let Light take the reins and use an audio mode because of some empty threats, when Takada was a person of interest? No one even thinks it's okay to put a secret camera without Light's consent?

- Takada is killed just when Mello apprehended her?

I won't even touch how L was killed. That part is such a gigantic plot hole that it puts any plot hole from Naruto to shame. And Misa isn't smart. She is just as unimpressive as Light is.

Death Note has its flaws, however Naruto has 1000 times as many. Naruto have had numerous earlier statements retconned/contradicted. None of the above points you mentioned dispute Light's intelligence

I have always been vocal about Naruto's flaws, but I will also say that DN is far more crappy as it's hyped to high heaven by people for its flawlessness, when it's a much shorter story with fewer character, yet it's riddled with plot holes.

They do, because Light's intelligence is paralleled with others which is why it's exalted. When the Team is idiotic by every sense of the word, it doesn't make Light intelligent then. Everything they did ended up giving Light lee-ways.

Those who say Death Note is flawless must have watched an anime for the first time. however many people don't give yagami light the credit he deserved. Light's death was implied at the beginning of the story, and his transition into an unstable person was a gradual process. I don't count the japanese police force as important to the story because they're not, so them being intelligent doesn't matter. Light had changed the ownership of his death note multiple times so it wasn't so easy to suspect him.

Death is overhyped, but yagami light is a great character. You don't need to rule the world to prove your worth

We'll have to agree to disagree then. I always thought Light was a poorly written character. Also, you misunderstand me, I didn't state Madara is better because he wants to rule the world. In this regard, Light wanted the same thing. I don't see how they are different. Light is actually worse, because he literally had a God complex. He deified himself, despite being a mortal.

How is having a god complex a bad thing? Nagato also had god complex. Light developing god complex was an effect of using death note for a long time. It was natural that he would turn into a crazy person at last. Ryuk said that those who use death note are cursed (something like that). Light is not a perfect character and that makes him for humane than others. Humans make mistakes, so did light. But even so light had great accomplishments.

Light developed a God complex not long after getting hold of DN. No, there is nothing wrong with having it, it's just the way it was handled that didn't click with me, at least.

Madara didn't want to rule the world for just being sake of god complex. He wanted to erase hatred and sadness because he is experiences all of those elements in his life and seen many people suffer from his trauma. He saw Chakra was the problem for this. That is what makes Madara such an amazing written character. He understands and thinks outside the box and puts the Mugen Tsukuyomi plan a law above all anything that he must sacrifice in order to achieve it.

Light doesn't have reasons for why the god complex. More of an actual mental illness.

And lol at those who think Light is anywhere near intelligent as Madara.

Or i'm a just seeing haters because he made their fave character look like shit:cool:

How is he bad written ? That doesn't make any sense madara is one of the best writen villain
in anime history people. The problem with most narutobase members is that hate blinds them
about some good characters, one good example is the naruto vs sasuke never ending battle.

NOw for the people that say his a bad "written character " all of his motifs are justified
unlike most of the anti-hero in the narutoverse. For people who don't understand why madara
is a good villain:

First, I want to say that the view of the OP is typical of those bad guys who like to blame others when they lose. As long as they win, everything is cool. Second, I would like to respectively say that you have got it backward. A villain is not well-written because his motive are justified. A character is not well-written because he has good goals. Thus, your rant does not make any sense. In addition, a villain is actually someone with bad motive, twisted interpretation of reality, and sometime a derailed schizophrenic person. Still, after being all these bad things, he can still be well-written.

Finally, I will show that the cause, goal, and actions you listed below are actually not what you think about them. They are the goal for a typical villain - that is someone who has gotten everything in the wrong way.

1.Lived most of life in a time of war.Never knew what true peace is.
(this alone makes you want to achieve peace by any means)

Really? are you sure?

Well, Madara lived in era of war. He lost most of his brother. However, he met Hashirama who was also losing his brothers, and actually has not interest in fighting despite being stronger than Madara from the beginning - Madara himself said it. Then, when they made their friendship, Madara is the one who turn his back to Hashirama and chose war. He lost his brother because he chose war over Hashirama's peace. Basically, in their entire life, Hashirama spent his life trying to deter Madara from fighting.

2.Lost brothers/sisters/lover/parents in wars.
Izuna his last brother, killed by his best friend's brother"makes you want to change it so badly"

As I said, Madara lost Izuna because of his own choice. If he had kept the dream, Izuna would never have died. Madara knew Hashirama was stronger, yet he chose to fight the Senju while Hashirama was spitting the truth to his father. The two behavior show who really was hurt and wanted to change things.

3.his clan abandoned him because they were not strong enough to face the senju's
"makes you feel weak as person"

No. His clan abandoned him because Madara chose to wage war unreasonably. If the uchiha did not leave Madara, all of them would have been killed because Madara decision to avenge his brother. Do you know the type of person who will continue to fight someone who always beat their asses? I think it is a kind of foolish people. The Uchihas were wise, and Madara was a fool. This is why they left him.

4.His best friend Hashirama made him think he could become hokage
but it turns out that he couldn't. "betrayed by his best friend after he already lost everything"

No. His best friend thought he would get peace by giving the throne to a schizophrenic. I bet if Madara was Hokage, he would be experimenting uchiha DNA vs Senju DNA to get Rinnegan and do his IT. This has been his goal all along. If Madara was a sane person, he would have known that after doing all the shits he did, no one would want him to be the king - even the Uchiha.

5.comes back and sees the world still is in wars.'' no wonder this guy wants the moon eyes plan
if my life was this ****ed up i would do the same as him"

No. Madara did not come back and see the world in war. Seriously, what Manga are you reading? Madara created the war, planted the seed of war, and planned to be revive to continue the war. See, he is not the victim or savior. Rather, he is the root of all the evil since his decision to deny Hashirama's peace.

And people have the audacity to compare him with Obito who lost a 12 year girl and say his a
better writen character than Madara because he's complex.

Please. Obito is 10 times better than Madara in the sense that he played the role of a victim who saw the trick of his aggressor. Obito attempted to double-cross his boss. Unlike Madara who chose his destiny, Obito did not. He was tricked all the way.

Are you kidding me ???? So most people will start a war for the same reason now
You must be registered for see images
Do you know that Madara is the one who asked Obito to start the war. Obito start the war for the same reason as madara. Their lost are different, but the goal were the same - make a better world throw IT.

give me a good villan that's better than madara no dbz character plz

Again, you don't know what a good villain is. Actually, a good villain means a villain that play is role correctly. Madara is bad in my opinion because all his success are based on luck. It is true that he thought about the outcomes, but his methods were lame and would never work if he wasn't lucky. This is why he is the worst villain - though I know Kishi want to prove that Madara lost his mind.
