How long was Madara asleep for? long enough for Obito to grow his hair to considerable length!! I know old people like there sleep but c'mon now... why wasn't any of the Zetsu or Obito worried that he had died?

Madara sleeping could be a play on words, it could mean his dead and once Obito has been fully brought into the fold to follow Madara's plan, Zetsu's will bring him up to speed and then ultimately revive him through Renni tensei.
